Tea with the girls, as on almost every Sunday. I chat with Toya on BBM, as always she is busy doing a thousand things at once, she's talking to her boyfriend and she says about me, laughing: “I hope she is cooking us yummy things!”. Except that Toya is blonde and she types the message and mechanically sends it to me. I got the message and therefore felt on a mission to prepare a delicious snack. The result: crispy apple-plum samosas and one happy Toya!
Apple and plum sauce
Serves 6 people
- 4 apples
- 350g plums
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 4 branches of thyme
- juice of half a lemon
- 10g salted butter
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
Peel and seed the apples and cut into pieces. Rinse the plums, then pit and cut into 4.
Melt the salted butter in a casserole. Add the diced apples and plums and cook one minute over high heat.
Then lower the heat, add the lemon juice, cinnamon and the thyme leaves. Cover and let stew for 15 minutes, over low heat, stirring regularly until there are no more bits of fruit.
Let cool a few minutes before serving hot or cold accompanied by a dollop of cream.
Apple and plum bricks
