It's been a little while I want to draw focus on my favorite winter drinks. I hung here and spring almost here, but too bad I'm starting and I still do not exclude that a new cold snap comes reinforce my comments a few weeks ;-). Let us begin with my favorite home-brew that I prepare for long winters and even sometimes in the summer, I love it so much. I make a full teapot directly because I always at least three cups. Perfect detox-cosy mode: lemon, ginger and mint cleanse the body with honey and her little sweet note of this infusion is a delight. Use without restraint!

Detox Herbal Tea with lime, ginger and mint

Prep: 10mins
Brewing time: 5mins

To a large pot (4 cups)

- juice 2 or 3 limes (according to their size and concentration of juice)
– 3cm of fresh ginger
– 1/2 bunch of fresh mint
– 2 or 3 tablespoons honey (to taste)

Peel the ginger and cut into brunoise (very small dices). Chop the fresh mint. Place the diced ginger and chopped mint in the bottom of a teapot.

Squeeze the limes and pour the juice in a teapot. Add 75cl of boiling water. Steep for 5 minutes and add 2 or 3 spoons of honey to taste.

Serve hot or warm.

- You can leave all the elements of the tea into the teapot, it infuses more better it is. I often add a little hot water if it has cooled too much.
– This infusion is also a delight in summer ice Version. Simply prepare the hot release, to infuse 20 minutes then add ice. Then refrigerate for a very cool and refreshing drink.
