Here we are, my daughter is 2 years old today. Last year, I was still free to do what I wanted for her birthday cake but this year she is the one who decides ... After Peppa Pig, Hello Kitty and Little Brown Bear, for her birthday, she asked "mommy T'Choupi cake" (the French name for Charley and Mimmo). Since Charley has a round head, the design was easily found. It was also a good opportunity to test an easy design transfer technique. Watch the video, this is super easy and once you've got used ... continue reading...
Tavuk salata (kind of chicken and pickle tzatziki)
My mother is a fan of Dikris, an excellent Armenian caterer who has a booth in the market near my parents'. She's going there to replenish her stock of tarama, tzatziki, and olives every weekend.
Fig blue cheese and walnut salad
What I like with the early fall season is that we still want to eat salad because it is not too cold yet and we can enjoy a whole new lot of seasonal produce. I love the slightly sweet and savoury salads and this fig, blue cheese and walnut salad is one of the hits of the season for me. I love the different flavours - the sweetness of the figs and the acidity of the blue cheese - and textures with the crunchiness of the walnuts. Add a few crumbs crispy Pancetta and I am in salad heaven. To ... continue reading...
